Creating Dispatch Regions

How to create dispatch regions in the M2X platform.

Dispatch regions will be tagged as labels against jobs or bookings to allow you to filter and dispatch easily.

How to view dispatch regions:

  1. Go to Dispatch --> Daily Jobs.

  2. Click on the square with an eye inside on the top right to adjust your columns.

  3. Toggle on "Dispatch Regions From"

5. Consignments will then appear with the labels attached

How to create dispatch regions:

  1. Go to Admin --> Dispatch regions (you will need administrator access for this area).

2. Click the grey plus button to add a new region:

3. Add a name, external ID, relevant customer and product. The NAME is what will show against the job or booking on your 'Daily Jobs' screen. If you don't specify the customer and product, the dispatch region will be associated with any job that has a pick-up in the specified area.

4. By using the generic rectangle box, you can begin to create your dispatch region.
You can click and drag this box to any location on the map.

5. Use the + and - in the bottom right corner of the map to zoom in and out of the map to help you as well.

You can use the dots on the corners or in the middle of each border to expand or restrict one side, changing the shape of the polygon.

Every time you move one border, a new dot will appear in the middle of the line, so you can get very precise control over the border:

When you are happy with your region, make sure to click "ADD" to save the region.

Once saved, you can always come back and edit this later on.
