Large contracts in M2X allow you to create one large job that you may dispatch smaller jobs against. For example, you might create a large contract with a quantity of 1000 and over time dispatch smaller jobs that will each eventually add up to 1000 (to mirror an agreement you have with a customer).

Large contracts will initially display a remainder quantity for the amount of work the contract was created for (e.g. 1000 tonnes). This will count down as jobs are dispatched against the large contract.

There are two ways you can create a large contract:

  1. You can create a large contract standalone from the carrier TMS

  2. You can create a large contract from an enterprise booking

Creating a Large Contract standalone from the Carrier TMS

  1. Click on the blue button beside the Create Job button to create a large contract.

2. Enter Details

Enter the details of your large contract in this window.

Similar to creating a job, you will be required to enter a customer, required by date, from and to locations, a product and a quantity. The other details are optional.

3. Create Large Contract

When you are ready, click Create. If you need to edit the details of your large contract, you can always revisit this window by clicking the edit pencil alongside the large contract. Your large contract will now appear on your daily jobs screen and acts as a template that you can quickly create smaller jobs from.

4. Use your Large Contract as a template to create jobs

Press Create on your large contract. From there, a job will appear prepopulated at the top of your screen. You can then fill in how much this particular job is for (e.g. 20 tonnes) and click Book.

Once you press Book, this will create a job in your carrier TMS, and the quantity will net off the large contract amount (in this case, reducing it to 980 tonnes remaining).

Create a large contract from an Enterprise Booking

  1. Accept the booking from the Enterprise and press Assign

  2. Choose Large Contract from the dropdown list

  3. This action then turns the booking into a large contract template which you can then use to create smaller jobs from.
