Create a New Rate Card

To create a new rate card, go to the main menu > admin > pricing > rate cards > create rate card.

Step 1. Customer

Select whether the rate card applies to all customers (any), a specific customer, or a group of customers*.

Step 2. Product

Select whether the rate card applies to all products, specific products, or products matching pricing labels*.

Step 3. From / To Locations

Select whether the rate card applies to any location, location, or region (Dispatch / Polygon / Pricing)*.

For Polygon Regions and Pricing Regions, you can specify if the rate card applies to specific location kinds within that region by utilising the toggle and the drop-down box.

Step 4. Pricing Basis, quantity bounds, rates

Select rate card pricing basis, then enter a description (optional), upper / lower bounds (if necessary) and rate. A few points of interest as below and indicated by arrows on the screenshot:

  • a second pricing dimension can be added (i.e. a tonne rate & m3 rate within the same rate card)

  • a pricing dimension constraint can be added (i.e. rate card only applies when certain constraints are met)

  • the rate can be toggled to be multiplied per unit or to be the total price

  • use the + button to add more pricing lines to a rate card

  • rates can be imported through an Excel CSV in the correct format

Step 5. Minimum Charge & Date Range

Use toggles to apply minimum charge (if applicable) and specify a date range for the rate card or leave it as any time.

Step 6. Adjustment Factor

Select the adjustment factor to apply to the rate card (if applicable).

Step 7. Comments & Create

Add additional comments against the rate card (optional) and click Create to save

Editing & Copying Existing Rate Card

Step 1. Search and locate rate card

Use search filters to find the existing rate card

Step 2. View rate card

Step 3. Select Copy or Edit

Customer Groups

Customer Groups can be set up to group customers to enable carriers to create rate cards that can be applied to a specific set of customers. Create Customer Group labels in the pricing screen and apply Customer Group from within the customer admin settings.

Product Pricing Labels

Pricing labels are applied to products by default upon product set-up but can be manually added to products upon creation. Carriers can create rate cards that apply to all products containing the same pricing label to build rates that apply to multiple products across all or specific customers.

Regions

Various regions can be set up to identify pricing-specific areas throughout your network.

Dispatch regions

Typically used for dispatch, these can also be used to drive rating. Set up dispatch regions through the admin section of the main menu.

Polygon regions

Customised areas that differ from your dispatch regions. Set up polygon regions through the pricing screen under the admin section of the main menu.

Pricing regions

The area is determined by customisable driving distance from a central point. Set up pricing regions through the pricing screen under the admin section of the main menu.

Location Kinds

When creating a location, the location kind is the type specified by the user upon creation. Rate cards can look at specific location kinds from within regions to only focus on specific locations.

Adjustment Factors

Several adjustment factors can be created and applied to rate cards, i.e. FAF. Adjustment factors are set up in the pricing screen under the admin section of the main menu.
