Open two screens/tabs

Individual consignment on one, pricing section on the other.

  • Search for specific customer in RATE CARDS section

  • Search pickup from and deliver to - based on address on consignment

    • If no rate card exists for that from/to combination for that customer, consider whether there could be other pricing regions used (ie a one that covers a much bigger area) or a dispatch region that could be used (eg South Island)

    • If still no rate card exists based on the from/to then consider creating a new rate card

  • Check the pickup location falls within the pickup pricing region

    • To check this, copy the lat/long details from the pickup location

    • Then search for the region in the Pricing Regions section and paste the lat/long details into the Show Additional Markers section

    • If green or blue marker falls outside the pricing region, consider expanding the pricing region or creating a new pricing region to attach to a new rate card

  • Check the delivery location falls within the delivery pricing region

    • Diagnose as above, and consider expanding the pricing region if required

  • Check whether the rate card is

    • Product agnostic (ie Product is set to Any)

    • Specific to a product code

      • If this - check whether the product that was dispatched matches the product on the rate card

      • (note we are trying to avoid product specific pricing and use pricing labels instead, as this can be easily applied to lots of different products)

    • Specific to products matching Pricing Labels

      • If the latter, check in the Admin > products section that the product that has been dispatched has had an Additional Pricing Label set that matches the pricing label on the rate card

  • Product setup:

  • Ratecard setup:

  • If rate card has freight breaks that don't start at 0 and end in infinity (ie a rate is only specified for loads less than 6 tonnes), check the consignment weight isn't outside this range

  • Check the same if there are other pricing dimensions to consider ie drive distance.

  • Check the consignment falls within the effective date range

  • Check an adjustment factor has been set for the specified adjustment factor on the ratecard
